Dear Santa,
On behalf of all of India I would like to say SORRY. I know we must have been very naughty this year to have to watch movies like Rowdy Rathore, Son of Sardar, Khiladi 786 and now Dabangg 2.I beg you to please stop this punishment and spare us all. We promise to behave better in the coming year.
Why must we keep watching movies which have absolutely no story. Where songs pop up without any rhyme or reason. Where all the actors are there just there for the heck of it. The fight sequences defy every known laws of science. Where the only villain left is Prakash Raj. Where the comedy is jut plain stupid. Where the writer seems to have written action, comedy dance and the used ctrl+c, ctrl+v while writing the script. Where all the director knows is to use slow motion shots in every single fight sequence. Where the Hero is Superman + Neo + Rajnikanth all rolled into one.
Why Santa why must we pay 400 bucks to watch atrocities like this!!!
Henceforth we will rather donate these 100 crores to the development of the poor but please just make this stop.
Yours truly,
Poor suffering Indian audience.

Unfortunately he's not the only one in line. There are many more to follow: our so called johars, chopras, barjatyas, bhansalis...
ReplyDeletePoor janta has to watch this shit like these just because there aren't many options. It's high time we need many many amir khans, anurag kashyaps, anurag basus, amit trivedi, manoj bajpayee, vidya balan, priyanka chopra, ram sampath, irfan khan, hirani, randeep hooda, ranvir shorey, ayushman khurana, konkona sen, abhimanyu singh
People from outside only would change the picture of the industry rest will just promote their sons/daughters/nephew/niece & other relatives....
To a large extent we ourselves are responsible for this. Indian audiences flock to the theaters to watch movies because of a particular star. Not the movie. Thus even horrible movies manage to earn a profit because of start value attached to them
