Rating : Good movie. Could have been better

Story: Based on actual events the movie is about Operation Valkyrie : a plot by a group of German soldiers to assassinate Hitler towards the end of World War 2.
Review: Personally I think Bryan Singer is a very good director. I really like the way he paces his films and builds up to the climax. However I was a bit let down by this movie on exactly that front. It starts on a very tense note and maintains that tone throughout. That unfortunately doesn't not help build the graph of the movie much until you reach the climax. Thus a lot of moments where more tension was needed fall flat. However by the end of the movie he again shows his class as a director and you again get sucked in by the drama.
The acting from everyone is good but not outstanding. They are serious, look genuine but nobody delivers any powerful performances. Surprisingly for a movie like this you would have expected some memorable dialogues but there are none.
Overall a good war time movie but we've come to expect better from Hollywood
