Disclaimer : I will not review every episode (something i'm not in favor of while reviewing a series). I prefer to rate the series as a whole.
Rating : Entertaining but meant only for true horror fans
Directors Featured : Dario Argento (Deep Red, Suspiria) , John Carpenter (Halloween, The Thing) and other celebrated horror directors
Story : Some of the best horror film directors and writers have come together to prepare this anthology of 1 hour long horror films. You have everything from psycho killers to zombies, from the scary to the twisted to the satirical.
Review : Personally I am a big fan of the horror genre. After watching a lot of horror movies I believe more bad movies are made in this genre than any other but I still love watching horror movies. So naturally when I heard of Masters of Horror I was very excited. Just finished watching the first season I can say that I'm not disappointed.
Sure not all the stories are scary (John Carpenters film coming the closest to being scary) but they are a lot of fun. Horror fans will notice a lot of tributes paid to some of the greatest horror films and film makers throughout the series.
However be warned that there is a lot of gore, lots of nudity and some very disturbing content (especially the last segment directed by acclaimed Japanese director Takashi Miike - Ichi the Killer and 13 Assassins fame)
